DARRAGH ENNIS
Dubliner Darragh Ennis is an entomologist and a neuroscientist, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in biology and a PhD in ecology. He is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Oxford University, where he primarily studies the brains of insects.
In addition, in his new book, 10 Things You Should Know About the Body, he explores the intricate nature of the human body.
Now, impressive as all that is, the public at large know him for a very different reason altogether because Darragh Ennis is Darragh ‘the Menace’ Ennis, one of the chasers on the daily television quiz show The Chase.

BRENDAN O'CARROLL
If ever there was a rags to riches story, then Brendan O’Carroll is the very epitome of it. Born into extreme poverty in 1955 in Dublin, he was the youngest of 11 children. By the age of 12 he had been forced to leave school to go out and try to earn some much-needed money for the family.
But over the years, with grit and determination and talent, that young boy from the 50s went on to become an international star - the creative genius and multi award winning comedian and actor Brendan O’Carroll, aka Mrs Agnes Brown.

DENNIS TAYLOR
How often were you told that, if you were good at the game of snooker, it was a sign of a misspent youth. Well luckily that didn’t deter the young Dennis Taylor. From standing on a lemonade crate at the age of just 9 to reach the table in Girvan’s Snooker Club in Coalisland, Dennis Taylor went on to reach the very pinnacle of the game. Over 18 million people sat up to after midnight on the 28th April 1985 watching him become World Champion by beating Steve Davis in that never to be forgotten final.

PRUE LEITH
Although Dame Prue Leith is now best known as a judge on the TV show, The Great British Bake Off, there is so much more to her than just a television show. She is also a Michelin Star chef, restaurateur, a political campaigner, a prolific cookbook writer, a novelist, a designer and a highly successful businesswoman, and what’s more, at aged 84, Dame Prue Leith is showing no signs of slowing down.
Born and raised in South Africa, Prue talks about the early days, her lack of direction and ambition and finally finding her way when she enrolled in the London Cordon Bleu Cookery School.

CARL FRAMPTON
Carl Frampton is the first boxer from Northern Ireland to have held two world titles in two weight classes and is one of only 3 fighters from the British Isles to be named the Ring magazine’s Fighter of the Year.
Now retired, Carl Frampton’s popularity has never waned. He is a much-respected boxing pundit on television and away from the sport, he gives a lot of his time helping various charities in Northern Ireland, especially Integrated Educated.
Talking about his rise to the World Title, we also hear Carl talk about his high-profile court case with Barry McGuigan and how that bitter row with his former mentor, trainer and hero, will never be healed.

DANIEL O'DONNELL
A rare opportunity to hear Daniel talk openly, and at length, about his 40 years in the business. From almost giving singing up through lack of success in the early 1980s to becoming one of the most prolific and successful recording stars ever. He is the only artist in the world to score a hit in the UK album charts every year since 1988 outshining everyone from Michael Jackson and Madonna, to U2 and the Rolling Stones.
Now in his 60s, Daniel admits to cutting back on his live performances in the future but still retains his undiluted love of the music and his legions of loyal fans throughout the world.

GLORIA HUNNIFORD
Gerry and Gloria go way back, back to the end of the 1970s when they both worked together in UTV. Their friendship is much in evidence in this interview. At times heartbreaking, with Gloria talking about the recent death of her beloved husband, Stephen Way and the pain of losing her only daughter, Caron, to cancer 20 years ago.
But at times, joyful, talking about the pride she felt when she was awarded the Freedom of Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough earlier in the year.

COLIN MURRAY
When Belfast man Colin Murray was asked to host Match of the Day 2 on national BBC television in 2010, it was thought to be the dream job for this footballing fanatic. Imagine the surprise when Colin reveals it was the unhappiest 3 years of his career!
Very much his own man, Colin talks about his early life in Belfast, living on his YTP Scheme allowance money, going to Canada on a ‘Catholic and Protestant Together’ visit, to finally finding his love of radio broadcasting through Radio Ulster.
But his ultimate dream, which he had known for many years, was to present the daily C4 quiz show, Countdown. Witty, humorous and refusing to lose his Belfast accent, even when it would have been in his best interest to do so, Colin Murray is a force of nature.
